Fem Noire: Artist Co-Living
Fem Noire is a residential 5-story building for Black female creatives that allows for community and accountability while also focusing on the health, safety, and welfare of its inhabitants. This space also allows for resident artists to create and feature their work. In this space, I combined my three loves: painting, furniture design, and interior design, and created a space for me and womxn of the same mindset.
As a Black creative I hope to amplify my voice as well as other marginalized communities through Fem Noire. This project is ultimately a place where I could imagine myself working and living.
Little Explorers: Neurodivergent Daycare
Little Explorer's Daycare is a space that promotes activity, exploration, and independence. This center includes goal-oriented physical therapy for children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Dyspraxia. The mission of Little Explores is to help children with CP and Dyspraxia navigate the world while fostering independence in movement and communication.
The floor plan is based on a scout badge and how children with physical disabilities can still explore the world just in different ways.
